Pretty good BBH. $15 a large bowl and you get a pork knuckle and other meats. It can be a bit salty hence 4 stars but otherwise, one of the better BBH I've had in WA.

Amazing Vietnamese Soups and cuisine. This non pretentious, cozy restaurant will amaze you with their selection of great soups, stir fry.and appetizers. Crab Noodle soup with a tasty tomato broth is amazing. Bun Bo Hue is their signature soup you also can't go wrong with. They also have other traditional Vietnamese dishes and right off the light rail! You can find me here once a week!

Large menu, entrance in back and front, good pho. Got a small #22 - lots of meat they do not skimp on the meat! Was the perfect amount for me. Good array of veggies to pair with the pho. Small set up but comfortable atmosphere

I got their signature dish the bon bun hue, and was pleased with the taste of the dish. There was quite a lot of beef in the soup, and the broth was rich and delicious. The spicy was perfect to not be overpowering while still adding more dimension to the taste. I was not a fan of the taste and texture of the pork blood cube, and there could have been more noodles. There was also a piece of pork hock which was a little hard to eat. Overall it was a fine dish to eat, and I feel like while I didn't get the biggest bang for my buck, it was an acceptable price. Getting the large bowl is definitely the way to go given the $1 difference to size up for $15. Service was prompt and polite, and the place was not too crowded coming before 11am. For me this would be a place to bring friends, but not necessarily be a regular myself.

I heard good things about this place from my friends and finally checked it out and it did not disappoint. I got the bun bo hue, which is a must here given the sign. First off you get a lot of food for just $12-$13, that alone is enough to try. Noodles were perfectly cooked, broth was sweet and savory, spicy, and a good portion of meat. My only complaint is that the blood cake was not good. I've had fresh blood cake in Vietnam and it doesn't compare unfortunately. Other than the blood cake it was solid and very affordable, highly recommended. P.S. This place gets busy at lunch time so get here early as it's small.

Hoang Lan Vietnamese restaurant has earned its place as our favorite spot for Bun Bo Hue and Com Tam in the Seattle area, and for good reason. Conveniently located right in front of the link light rail, it's easily accessible even if you don't have a car. However, if you're coming from the east or north side of Seattle, be prepared for a bit of a drive. Parking is a breeze, with a free lot located behind the restaurant and plenty of spots available every time we visit. They even have a door at the back, so you don't have to trek around to the front entrance. Depending on the date and time, the restaurant can get quite crowded, so be prepared to wait a bit for a table. We typically visit for brunch or lunch, and the owner is always friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to deciding what to order. Our go-to order never disappoints: Bun Bo Hue with spring rolls as appetizers, and Com Tam to-go for dinner. The spring rolls are generously sized and bursting with flavor. As for the Bun Bo Hue, even the small size is packed with an abundance of toppings, making it better than some places I've tried in Vietnam. Plus, they provide plenty of veggies to accompany the dish, which is a huge plus. Now, onto the Com Tam or broken rice dish—it's hands down the best I've had in the States. The pork is flavorful, and the shredded pork skin is reminiscent of what I remember from Vietnam. The broken rice is cooked to perfection, and let's not forget about the fish sauce—it truly completes the dish. Overall, I've been consistently satisfied with everything at Hoang Lan. If you're willing to make a bit of a drive for some delicious Vietnamese cuisine that won't break the bank, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be disappointed!

This place has been on my list to visit for a while and it was really good. Best BBH I’ve had. Every table was packed, small wait but I didn’t mind. Chatted with some other folks waiting who said they grew up going here and it’s the best around. I missed the hot sauce in the side in the little metal container. Everyone else seemed to add a few scoops to get their broth a nice red. Really great price and they took Apple Pay.

The soup broth is excellent. However, I think they're starting to skimp on the meat, at least for the hủ tiếu (seafood option #2).
